For thousands of years we, the Ktunaxa, have persevered, overcome many adversities and always managed to survive. We did this because of our strong sense of unity, our connection to the Creator and our connection to our land. It has also been through our culture, language and spirituality that we have evolved over time.

First Nations Films distributes and creates award-winning educational Aboriginal documentary films and videos for, by and about First Nations people. Our exclusive native programs are shared with schools, universities, libraries, organizations and other groups and institutions.

This is the third annual report on the services provided by the Public Guardian and Trustee (PGT) to minor children and youth for whom the PGT is Guardian of Estate. Most of these young people are in continuing care of the Province. This report outlines the services provided by the PGT, the challenges in delivering these services and makes recommendations for continued improvement.

What Does the Society Do?

There are jobs in the Information Technology (IT) industry for First Nations with certification. The First Nations Technology Council (FNTC) is working with CNC (the College of New Caledonia) and PGNAETA (Prince George Nechako Aboriginal Employment and Training Association) to develop a program that will target First Nations students. 

Broadband connectivity is being introduced to many BC First Nations, and along with the opportunities this provides to communities for improved education, health care, and social and economic development comes the challenge of managing this technology.
