The Remote Community Implementation (RCI) Program aims to develop, and distribute funding grants that support remote communities to implement clean energy and energy efficiency projects.

There are a number of funding sources available to support First Nations wishing to pursue Comprehensive Community Planning (CCP). Indian and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) has a number of programs which support CCP, but in addition, there are programs external to INAC that directly or indirectly support planning.

The BC Association of Aboriginal Friendship Centres continues to offer Aboriginal non-profits and non profits that support Aboriginal communities support in accessing provincial funding through Community Gaming Grants (formerly Direct Access and Bingo Affiliation).

Smart Planning for Communities is a BC-wide collaborative initiative providing resources and tools to local and First Nations governments for planning socially, culturally economically and environmentally sustainable communities. SPC has established a network of Sustainability Facilitators located across BC.
