This course has been created by the First Nations Technology and is being offered by Seabird Island College as an online course. This is an introductory level GIS course that will help you develop the skills needed to create maps using a very popular, industry standard, software program called ArcView GIS which is used by First Nations groups throughout the Province.

There are jobs in the Information Technology (IT) industry for First Nations with certification. The First Nations Technology Council (FNTC) is working with CNC (the College of New Caledonia) and PGNAETA (Prince George Nechako Aboriginal Employment and Training Association) to develop a program that will target First Nations students.
