Along with the installation of approximately 70 red dresses, the REDress Project is coordinating free events in conjunction with the project including daily tours of the installation, educational materials, community dinner, candlelight vigil, two movie screenings, a panel of speakers and an artist talk with Jaime Black.

The project is designed to provide an environment for students, staff, faculty and the general public to learn through engagement with art, and to provide opportunities for conversation about the serious impact of this gendered and racialized violence on Aboriginal women in Canada. Faculty, students and the general public are encouraged to wear a red dress in support of the event at any time during October 4-7.
