Judge Rules in Favour of Sixties Scoop Victims

Ontario Justice Edward Belobaba ruled in favour of Sixties Scoop victims in the 11-year-long class action lawsuit against the Canadian Federal Government. During the Sixties Scoop, thousands of Indigenous children were removed from their communities and placed in non-Indigenous foster homes. The federal government has announced it will not appeal the ruling.
