APTN National News has reported that Kinder Morgan finalized a deal with Peters First Nation of British Columbia that could be worth up to $20 million over 20 years. A membership battle has ensued, with two members of the band claiming that approximately 66 people who should be members have not been admitted to the band and therefore do not have a say in the deal even though it impacts them. These two members have brought suit against the chief and her two councillors, alleging that they breached their fiduciary duty to the band.
