A report from the Representative for Children and Youth was released on March 30 and focused on inadequate funding for Delegated Aboriginal Agencies, which serve Indigenous children and their families. The report noted that under the current system, Indigenous children are almost 17 times more likely to end up in care than non-Indigenous children. In addition, the current system does not provide adequate prevention services.
