The Yale First Nation has partnered with construction company Britco to replace failing on-reserve housing stock with modular "Passive Houses." The Passive House standard is the highest recognized level of energy efficiency in home-building, which will mean that the new buildings will increase the affordability of on-reserve housing by significantly lowering energy bills.
