Potential Sources of Funding for CCP
There are a number of funding sources available to support First Nations wishing to pursue Comprehensive Community Planning (CCP). Indian and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) has a number of programs which support CCP, but in addition, there are programs external to INAC that directly or indirectly support planning.
The following pages outline some funding sources in detail, including program contacts, deadlines, funding amounts as well as helpful tips and hints to successfully access the funding.
INAC sources of funding:
British Columbia Capacity Initiative (BCCI)
Professional and Institutional Development (P&ID) Program
Community Economic Opportunities Program (CEOP)
Aboriginal Business Canada (ABC)
External sources of funding:
Community Futures
Real Estate Foundation of BC
Community to Community Forums (C2C)
New Relationship Trust
This list of funding sources is continually changing; therefore, please let us know if you are aware of other funding sources and/or if the information provided has changed.
For further information and questions, please contact those identified within each program, and/or contact your Funding Services Officer, Strategic Planning Officer, or Community Development Officer (604) 775-5100.
