First Nations, Industry & Government: Exploring Best Practices in Negotiating Business Partnerships, Revenue Sharing and Benefit Agreements in British Columbia

Forum Summary: This unique and innovative forum presents a number of First Nations who have successfully negotiated business partnerships, revenue sharing or benefit agreements with industry and government.

Purpose: Sharing information on First Nations negotiations practices, including case studies on the negotiating experiences of those First Nations participating in the forum. Partnering companies and the provincial government have been asked to share their experiences on negotiating with First Nations.

Who Should Attend: The forum is designed for interested Land Managers, Community and Economic Development staff, Chief and Council, Industry Stakeholders and Government officials.

Committee Organizers: The report and forum has been developed by representatives drawn from the following organizations:
