The Sechelt Indian Band resumed their strategic planning efforts in August 2011. The purpose of the sessions was to: Continue the strategic planning process i.e. review the strategic framework, goal setting etc., engage the community in prioritizing goals and continue to enhance Council skill set.

The Council of Saik’uz First Nation wishes to be strategic in their approach to the future well being of their community. They engaged the services of R. Radloff and Associates and the Local Government Leadership Institute to facilitate a strategic planning process.

The Lil’wat Nation Business Governance Plan contains diagrams for Appointment of Holdings Board, Appointment of Operating Board, Strategic Planning Process *(3-5 year plan), Annual Business Planning Process, Hiring, Initiating New Business Units, Financial Reporting Process, Business Regulatory Process, External Negotiations and Cash Flow Management.

The Musqueam Community Engagement Project contains examples of a Planning Timeline, Governance Poster, Governance Newsletter, Aboriginal Day Survey, and a Governance Community Survey Report.

The Leq’á:mel constitution and government has its roots in the historical, cultural, and spiritual traditions of the Leq’á:mel Tribe, in the Halqelmaylem language, and in the relationships with the Creator, the territory, and everything within the territory, both living and otherwise.
