The renegotiation of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) will allow First Nations to have a say in Canada's economic development. During the Assembly of First Nations' (AFN) annual assembly in Regina, the organization passed two resolutions to advocate for the participation of First Nations in economic trade agreements. AFN's national chief, Perry Bellegarde, is participating in discussions surrounding NAFTA.
