Assembly of First Nations (AFN) held a successful two-day national policy forum in which it was decided to press for a reset of a national dialogue on First Nations’ rights. More than 500 First Nations leaders and delegates gathered to discuss the federal government’s proposed approach to rights and reconciliation legislation. The AFN Special Chiefs Assembly will be held December 4-6 in Algonquin territory in Ottawa, and dialogue from the national policy forum will inform decision-making at the December meeting.
