BC Government Has Filed for Intervener Status in the Trans Mountain Pipeline Review

The federal government has set a 22-week timeline to consult with First Nations about the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion. The BC government has filed to register as an intervenor in the National Energy Board's reconsideration of the project. As an intervener, the BC government plans to advocate for meaningful engagement with Indigenous groups as well as a proper assessment of the effects of increased shipping on marine life.
