The graduation rate for Indigenous students in the Sea to Sky school district increased to 86.1 percent in the 2016-17 school year, up from 35 percent in 2009. District officials credit district-wide changes in curriculum. Community members, teachers, and principals coordinated to restructure learning strategies, using an Indigenous lens to develop the changes.
