Bennett Speaks About Rights Framework Legislation at AFN Special Chiefs Assembly

Crown-Indigenous Relations Minister Carolyn Bennett addressed the Assembly of First Nations Special Chiefs Assembly this week. She stated that more time will be taken to get the framework legislation right. Regena Crowchild of the Tsuut’ina Nation questioned Bennett about the need for federal legislation, and Bennett acknowledged that the federal government is not giving First Nations anything they don't already have.
