Creators of Indigenous Language Legislation Seek Input

Perry Bellegarde, Assembly of First Nations (AFN) National Chief, and Mélanie Joly, the federal Minister of Canadian Heritage, are the creators of an Indigenous Languages Act. They have developed this agreement to protect and maintain Indigenous languages. They will seek input from First Nations language champions and educators beginning next week.
