Government Receives Requests to Ban Indigenous Logos in Schools

An Ottawa couple has requested that the federal government require schools to change any Indigenous logos or mascots. Local school boards set and enforce dress codes, and the Ministry of Education expects school boards to work with Indigenous partners to discuss potentially offensive logos or mascots and take steps to ensure an inclusive school environment.
