An advocate for the grandmothers and families of missing and murdered Indigenous women has requested a statue be created along with a memorial park and water fountain to honour missing and murdered loved ones. The monument would honour both women and men. The Giigewigamig Traditional Healing Centre recently opened in Pine Falls with the purpose of providing a place for healing.
