Health Care Professional Learn About Indigenous Issues at Workshops

Kirkland and Englehart district hospitals in Ontario hosted a series of Cultural Mindfulness Workshops to inform health care staff about Indigenous history and issues affecting First Nation communities. More than 90 health care workers from various disciplines and departments participated. The workshops provide an introduction for health care workers into Indigenous history and culture as well as modern issues impacting First Nations.
