Assembly of First Nations Northwest Territories Regional Chief Kluane Adamak and Elders Council member Francois Paulette will accompany Environment and Climate Change Minister Catherine McKenna to the United Nations Climate Change conference. Indigenous peoples, their rights and their knowledge, were included in the Paris Agreement in 2015. The federal government will fund an Indigenous position through the Paris Agreement framework to ensure the voice of Indigenous people is heard on climate change.
