Indigenous Survivors Receive Support from AFN

The Assembly of First Nations (AFN) has pledged to support Indigenous women survivors of forced sterilization who are seeking redress from the federal government. The support of the AFN was put forth in the form of a resolution at the annual general assembly. A class action lawsuit was filed in February on behalf of the survivors, with a minumum of $7 million being sought for each survivor.
