Leader Suggests MMIW National Inquiry Should Start Over

Marilyn Buffalo, the former president of the Native Women’s Association of Canada, has requested the National iinquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW) be scrapped. After discovering that the Grandmother's Council is no longer part of the inquiry, she began calling for the national inquiry to start over. The national inquiry began in September, but held only one Truth Gathering Ceremony.
