The Lower Nicola Indian Band has installed 330 solar panels to power their community school and feed back into the local electricity grid. “Us installing the panels and having renewable energy at our school and in our community is something that really reflects our values as indigenous people, being stewards of the land,” said Chief Aaron Sam at the system's launch.
