Melodie Casella, the manager of health at the commission for the National Inquiry into Missing Indigenous Women and Girls, has resigned over the limited extension the inquiry received to finish its reports. The inquiry commission was seeking an additional two years. Another reason Casella decided to leave is that those working for the commission cannot do outside work while employed by the commission, and her advocacy work for theĀ Coalition on Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls has always been very important to her.
