A class action lawsuit was filed earlier this month in Saskatchewan on behalf of thousands of Indigenous people who were subjected to medical tests without their knowledge or consent. These medical tests and experiments were allegedy conducted on reserves and residential schools from the 1930s to the 1950s. The lawsuit also includes allegations against the federal government of inadequate and discriminatory health care at Indigenous hospitals from 1945 to the 1980s.
