After Cree NDP MP Romeo Saganash confronted Prime Minister Justin Trudeau about his plan to consult with First Nations about the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion project, he was ordered to apologize for using un-parliamentarian language. Assembly of First Nations (AFN) national chief, Perry Bellegarde, has advocated moving the pipeline to accomodate concerns of First Nations. Green Party leader, Elizabeth May, has stated that moving the pipeline will not adequately address all concerns.
