Nestle Waters Canada had expressed opposition to the route of the Kinder Morgan Trans Mountain Pipeline Expansion becasue the route cuts through a Nestlé water-bottling property in Hope, B.C. Nestle was scheduled to voice its concerns to the National Energy Board (NEB) on May 9 in Merritt, B.C., but instead Nestle announced it had come to an agreement with Kinder Morgan, which has agreed to change the route of the pipeline to go around the Hope property. The NEB spent three days in Merritt to make rulings on concerns about the route of the pipeline brought up individual landowners, First Nations, and municipalities.
