Teachers in the Burnaby school district believe climate change is not addressed adequately in BC's new school curriculum. The new curriculum is designed so that students can work on areas they are interested in and for teachers to focus on their areas of specialization. This could lead to a lack of attention to the issue of climate change since it's not a core concept for any of the mandatory courses in the Grade 8 to 10 curriculum.
