The skeleton of an elasmosaurus is on display at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. The remains of the 80-million-year-old sea monster were found near Kansas, but similar remains have been found in BC due to a waterway that ran all the way through North America, including British Columbia. Sea serpents have commonly been found in myths, legends, folklore. The Squamish Nation has told many legends of the sea serpent.
