Research into Indigenous Women Reveals Uncommon Resilience

Tracy Bear, a University of Alberta researcher, She found that existing resilience theory didn't quite align with the resilience of Indigenous women. Instead, Indigenous people have a sense of pride in their community, which is a resource not often found in other cultures. Bear's work on resilience came about through the University of Alberta's work with reconciliation.
