Sakimay First Nation in Saskatchewan Will Make Its Own Cannabis Laws

The Sakimay First Nation in southeastern Saskatchewan plans to create the community's own cannabis laws and regulations. Under the Cannabis Act, authority falls to the provinces, territories, and Ottawa. Due to this jurisdictional issue, some First Nations feel shut out and are creating their own laws.
