The United Nations' (UN) International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples was recognized on August 9, 2017. David Hill from the Guardian interviewed Kankanaey Igorot woman Victoria Tauli-Corpuz about the UN’s Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. In this interview, she explained how the declaration has helped Indigenous people to this point in time and ways for countries to adopt laws to reform past injustices.
